"galinha Morta + de 1.000 apartamentos"

(exact translation: "Dead chicken -- more than 1,000 apartments". "Dead chicken" is a curious Brazilian slang that means an exceptional bargain, and pitches a friendly and happy mood. The term was casted in flea markets and is informally used today in sales/promotions)

The success of the first event "2.000 apartamentos a preço de banana" prompted Roque & Seabra to host a second event on the period October 14th, 1992 to October 25th, 1992. The organizers noticed that, during the previous show, purchases were concentrated on the southern and western areas of São Paulo. So they decided to focus the second show on the northern and eastern areas.

Over 1,000 apartaments were set apart for this event. Again, fine apartments ranging from 1- to 4-bedrooms were offered during that period.

This time, Shopping Center Norte, a large mall in the north of São Paulo, housed the event. A large Sales Hall was assembled at the Center convention area. The conference room welcomed customers with a video, featuring Lillian Witte Fibe (a popular TV news editor), who described the sales process in detail.

The whole event mirrored the previous one. Everything was there again: sales counselors, top executives, a car fleet and drivers, videos, "lightining offers" and so on.

Roque & Seabra and the 6 contractors managed to sell US$ 43 million in 780 apartment units during the event. Again long lines were formed, and hundreds of customers happily left the place with a new home and a signed contract.

These events were an overwhelming success. Roque & Seabra put together competing contractors under the same roof and all players won big sales. In August, 1995, Roque & Seabra was honored the "Prêmio Master Imobiliário 1995" prize, offered by FIABCI-SECOVI, due to the "2000 apartamentos a preço de banana" e "Galinha Morta + de 1.000 apartamentos" events.
